Tom says “If I can do it, you can”
When people ask you “What do you want to be when you grow up?” it’s a tough question to answer. It’s like saying “What do you want to do when you get there?” Where is ‘there’? If you have not defined where “there” is, how do you know where you’re going?
A better question to ask is “What do you want?” Paint a picture of where you want to be. Define for yourself what you want for your life. Money is not the end game, it’s just a scoreboard
Once you figure out what you want, you have to have a willingness to work.
It will take hard work, so you must learn to love the fight. As you are moving through the swamps, keep your eyes on the mountain you’re wanting to climb. The hardest part of this is deciding who you will surround yourself with. Those you surround yourself should be pushing you up, not holding you back.
Be a leader. Create lasting success. “You will become successful only to the degree that other people push you up.”
At whatever level of success you are at, give back. Contribute to something bigger than you.
